About The Association
SMACNA of Western PA, a chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA), was founded in 1943 by a like-minded and driven group of professional sheet metal contractors dedicated to improving all aspects of their industry. Today, these same motives compel our diverse group of members to work toward furthering the goals of this association. Member contractors are actively engaged in all phases of sheet metal fabrication and installation, including HVAC, architectural and specialty fabrication, manufacturing, testing and balancing, kitchen work, roofing and fire life safety.

SMACNA of Western PA and its members contend that education and ongoing training are the keys to success in this ever-changing business environment. Our contractors annually contribute in excess of $1 Million to the Local 12 Journeyman Apprentice Training Fund for the continued development of our workforce. Each new apprentice is required to complete a five-year program of classroom and on-the-job training on their way to becoming a journeyperson sheet metal worker.
Working together with our labor partners to resolve issues and proactively identify opportunities is the keystone of our industry.
Our relationship with SMART Local 12 goes beyond labor/management issues, forever shedding contrived historical notions.
With our office located at 153 Perry Highway in West View, SMACNA of Western PA works in unity with all of the stakeholders in the sheet metal industry and continues our tradition of nearly 80 years of service to our customers, our community, and our workforce.
